Trent International Prosthetic Symposium
ISPO UK MS is pleased to announce the 2016 Trent International Prosthetic Symposium will take place at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Glasgow, from 28 – 30 September 2016. The meeting will overlap with the ISPO UK Member Society Annual Scientific Meeting which will take place on 30 September and 1 October.
This year’s theme: Advances in Our Understanding
Tamar Makin- Associate Professor at Oxford University’s Neuroimaging Centre (FMRIB Centre), Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience – “Phantom Pain Revisited”
Raoul Bongers – Assistant Professor at University of Groningen, University Medical Centre Groningen, Centre for Human Movement Sciences – “Serious Gaming in learning to use a prosthetic device”
Carol Garcia – Senior Physiotherapy Lecturer and Team Leader Physiotherapist, Faculty of Health & Wellbeing, Sheffield Hallam University – “Patient’s perceptions of upper limb prosthetics and how virtual reality may be used in clinical practice”
Rickard Branemark – Director of Centre of Orthopaedic Osseointegration, Salengrenask Hospital, Goteborg, Sweden – “Latest developments in the use of Osseointegrated upper limb prosthesis”

Abstracts on all topics connected with Upper Limb prosthetics are sought. Topics include novel prosthetic fitting/practice, occupational therapy, prosthetic design and control.
